Crackers are one of our pantry staples. Instead of stocking up on expensive fancy crackers, I decided to make my own with healthy seeds. They are healthier, fresher and cheaper!
Apart from the flour, oil and water proportions, the rest of this recipe is highly flexible. Feel free to play with different kinds of seeds and herbs to create your own unique flavours.
Ingredients:
250 g all purpose flour
25 g pumpkin seeds
25 g sunflower seeds
10 g sesame seeds
5 g poppy seeds
5 g dried rosemary
5 g fine sea salt
50 g olive oil
100 g water
Steps:
1. Pre-heat oven to 160°C.
2. Put all ingredients into a blender. Pause until a dough is formed.
3. Place the dough onto a lightly floured parchment paper. Divide into half, if necessary.
4. Roll the dough to around 1-2mm thick.
5. Cut into squares or rectangles using a pizza cutter.
6. Carefully move the parchment paper with the dough onto a baking tray.
7. Bake for 20 - 25 minutes. Let cool on a rack. Then serve or store in an air-tight container.
