Keeping your gut healthy helps boost the immune system, and one of the most gut-friendly foods is yogurt, which contains lots of probiotic cultures that strengthen the digestive tract. We usually have our yogurt with fruits, but sometimes we like to shake things up, literally, and make a lassi drink! For this recipe, I replaced the white sugar with natural honey to make it even healthier.

Ingredients:
*makes 2 glasses*
1 ripe mango (de-skinned and roughly cut)
250 g unsweetened plain yogurt
50 g ice cubes
a tiny pinch of table salt
a pinch of ground green cardamom (optional)
a dash of honey (optional)
mint leaves (optional, for garnish)

Steps:
1. Put mango flesh, yogurt, ice, salt and ground cardamom into a blender. Blitz until smooth.
2. Taste the mixture. Add honey if it's not sweet enough for your liking. Blitz again. Garnish with mint leaves. Then serve.
If you want to maximise the health benefits, you can replace the yogurt with kefir, which contains more probiotics and protein. If so, you might need to use less ice (or none at all), as kefir is more watery than yogurt.
